Rescue Buoy adapted to the drone


Project description:

The biggest problem in rescue is not about the equipment but the time that remains, from spotting a drowning person to helping them. Pelixar designs drones that significantly reduce the time it takes to help. Additionally, the drone can tow the drowning to shore. This inspired me to look for a new form of rescue buoy, which will be adapted to the drone's criteria and would meet the needs of the drowning and the rescuer. The project innovation is about different way of grasping and towing on the buoy. Grasping the buoy, causes the upper part of the chest and the head to be above water. Drowning's position is stable. Also, using the buoy is comfortable and intuitive. The buoy has a form of a three-armed float made of EVA foam, also it has an aluminum handle to which the tow rope is at.



I was born in 1998 in Gdańsk. I graduated from the first degree in Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. I carried out my diploma project in the Product Design studio, at the same time I attended the Visual Communication Studio. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
