Project description:
The idea of the Egg Vessels decoration objects was to create porcelain objects with two functions useful and decorative . Each set has a story to its designed decoration and can be of a complement to any interior depending on the choice or style of the set. ”White on Blue” is inspired by a traditional porcelain painting named: “blue on white”. It is well known in porcelain history. Use of the reverse designed “White on blue” decoration and playful in its traditional concept of porcelain decoration. Expressive brush strokes that can be recognized in modern art, for example to Cy-Twombly paintings. White strokes on blue surface are complemented by gold finishing strokes. The Design of the vessels is inspired by the timeless "egg" shape which is a symbol of eternal life in some: cultures, countries and religions. The Object is divided in two separate forms creating other functionality such as containers- or bowls. The Extra function of ”mobile decoration” gives it the opportunity for assembling them in many different variations controlled by the user. The owner of the objects can decide on the final look of the design of the vessels and how they wish to view them by assembling both of the parts.
